invite you to apply to be a contestant in the 2011
- 2012 Miss Black Iowa USA pageant by completing
and submitting an
application . Please note the following
Eligibility
Requirements must be
met in order to proceed with the application
process.

The
deadline for this application is October 18,
2010.

A. |
You must be at least 18 years of age
and not older than 25 years of age
by the date |
| |
of the
national competition in 2011. |
| |
|
|
B. |
You must be a high school graduate
by the date of the national pageant
in 2011. |
| |
|
|
C. |
You must be single,
never married. |
| |
|
|
D. |
You must be born female.
|
| |
|
|
E. |
You must be a United States citizen
and live in the United States. |
| |
|
|
F. |
You must
be a resident of state or have
educational status or employment |
| |
in the particular state in which you
are representing. |
| |
|
|
G. |
A contestant must have never
performed any act or engaged in any
activity |
| |
or
employment
that is or could reasonably
be characterized as
dishonest, |
| |
immoral, or indecent. |
| |
|
|
H. |
A contestant must never have been
convicted of any crime and does not
have |
| |
any criminal charges pending.
|
| |
|
|
I. |
You must be in excellent physical
and mental health and can fully
participate |
| |
without limitation in any program
activities and must not use or
consume any |
| |
illegal controlled dangerous
substances or abuse the use of
alcohol or
other |
| |
dangerous or addictive substances.
|
| |
|
|
J. |
You may not have competed more than
twice in the national Miss Black
|
| |
USA pageant. |
| |
|
|
K. |
You may not represent the same state
more than once. |
| |
|
|
L. |
You must provide proof of age (i.e.
copy of driver’s license, birth
certificate or |
| |
U.S. Passport). |
| |
|
|
M. |
You must provide proof of residency
in the city/state that you will
represent. |
| |
|
|
N. |
You must provide two non-returnable
photos, any size, one full length
and one |
| |
head shot.
(If submitted electronically, the
resolution should be at least 300
dpi
(dots per inch). One or both photos
will be used in the pageant souvenir
booklet. |

|
|
O. |
You must be willing to travel at
your own expense to the national
competition. |
| |
|
|
P. |
To accept an invitation to be a
contestant in the pageant, you must
complete |
| |
and timely return all required
application items by the stated
deadline. |

|
| |

Employee, officers, directors and agents of Miss
Black Iowa USA Pageant and
/ or any of
their respective licensees, assigns, parents,
affiliated and subsidiary companies and the
immediate family (spouse, mother, farther,
sister, brother, daughter, son, regardless of
where they live) or members of their same
households (whether related or not) of such
employees, officers, directors and agents are
not eligible to be contestants in the Miss Black
Iowa USA Pageant or participate in this
applicant process.
Applications will only
be considered if they are complete. Complete
applications consist of the following:

Completed application form
(including proof of age and
residency). Along

Copy or proof of U.S. Citizenship
(i.e. U.S. Passport or social
security card) |

C. |
Two photos, black and white or
color; one head shot and one
full-length, |

any size (will not be returned). |
| |
|
| |
Once your application, nonrefundable
$50.00 application fee, and photos
are received, you will be accepted
to participate in the pageant. From
there, you will be required to sign
the State Delegate Year of Service
Guide and Social Media Policy and
return these document and
nonrefundable registration fee
of $300.00 payable to Miss Black
Iowa USA no later than October
30, 2010. |
