The Miss Black Iowa USA
Organization exists to
promote local and statewide leadership among
African-American
women. The organization provides a forum for
African-American women
to showcase their knowledge and talent on a
local and state platform while promoting
education and public service of its state
representatives. |

Strategic Activities |
|
The
strategic activities that the Miss Black Iowa
USA organization conducts to accomplish its
mission include, but are not limited to: |

• Producing
annual event to select state delegates. |
 |
|
• Awarding
delegates for their contributions in their
communities – leadership, service, and
|
|
academic achievement. |
 |
|
• Managing and
mentoring the winning Miss Black Iowa who will: |

perform public service or performs talent for
communities throughout the state. |

►
serve as public speaker at various
community events or displays knowledge and
talent |
|
throughout the community. |
|
►
implement a plan to address her “personal
platform” and partners with non profit |
|
organizations to heighten community
awareness. |

may serve as “spokesperson” on behalf of the
organization for organization sponsor. |

►
receive personal and professional development
sessions to prepare for |

national competition
and personal and professional
development. |

receive information and resources to assist them
to establish a “holistic” healthy lifestyle
