Allia RaeLynn Foley
2012 Miss Black Iowa USA Talented Teen

Allia RaeLynn Foley was born in Houston, Texas and moved to Iowa at 2 years of age. Today, at 14, Allia is a 14-year old freshman at Urbandale Highs School in Urbandale, Iowa where she is on the Honor Roll. Allia loves learning and school and during her entire tenure at Urbandale Middle School she was on the Honor Roll and a member of the Student Senate all 3 years as well. A naturally gifted singer and dance, Allia was proud to be in the Urbandale award-winning Show Choir (2008 – 2009) and to have won a vocal solo competition in 2006.

When she’s not busy at school she gives back to her church and her community by visiting the elderly and helping to feed the homeless. In addition, some of her volunteer activities include:

  •  Make a Wish Foundation
  •  UMS Food Drive & UMS Boxes of Love for Military Families
  •  Union Baptist Church (UBC) Thanksgiving for the elderly and needy
  •  Central District Choir
  •  3P Community Choir

Allia has two siblings Paris JaRae Foley, 17 and Alvin (AJ) Foley II, 13. Allia enjoys growing up in a Christian home and is a member of Union Baptist Church where she has served as the Sunday School Secretary. For fun, she enjoys dancing, playing basketball, music, singing, running track, and weight lifting.

Allia is the daughter of Clyde and Denise Parker. Allia plans to attend Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama and would like to study Psychology, Medicine, or Criminal Justice.
Her favorite quote, that she considers a motto for her life, comes from Poet Maya Angelou: “In life we may encounter many defeats, but we must not be defeated.” Allia believes in being positive and having faith in God, no matter what may come your way. She says “Life is sometimes unfair and we may experience defeat, but we can never give up or let anyone stop us or block us from achieving our fullest potential. We should always keep God first, because He provides all of the tools that we could ever need and more to accomplish anything that we wish to achieve.”
