Are you one of Iowa’s African-American talented
teens? Do you have a dream of being a queen who
is respected and admired for her talent, beauty,
and achievements? Do you have a gift to share
with the world and to be used to inspire and
encourage others?
Then we have the showcase for you to share your
talent, beauty, and poise with all of Iowa
and
the nation. The Miss Black Iowa USA Teen Pageant
is new and ready to offer you an
extraordinary
opportunity to compete on a state and national
level and win great prizes and possibly $5,000
scholarship funds to help pay for your college
or post-secondary education.
How Do
You
Sign Up?
It’s really easy to get started on your dream of
winning the Miss Black Iowa USA Teen pageant and
hopefully the Miss Black USA Talented Teen
Pageant. Just follow these steps:
1. Review!
Review the eligibility requirements.
You must meet all of the requirements to even be
eligible
to apply.
2. Apply!
Complete the application.
Choose between our convenient
Online Application
or download our
PDF Application. Mail it in
with your $50.00 non-refundable application fee
no later than
September 18, 2010. A registration
fee of $300.00 will be due no later than October
9, 2010.
3. Prepare!
Now get your talent, your outfits,
and your confidence ready for competition! Time
is passing
quickly!
Categories of Competition
We’re looking for the most talented and dynamic
young ladies in Iowa. That’s you if you believe
it! You’ll be competing in the following
categories:
Personal Interview (15% of your score) -
Judges look for articulation, composure, and
overall response.
Personal Fitness (15% of your score) -
You will be rated on your stage presence,
appearance, body condition, and sportswear
selection.
Talent (35% of your score) - Judges will
rate you on artistic expression, technical
skill, stage presence, professionalism, and
overall performance.
Formal evening Gown (15% of your score) -
We’re looking for young ladies with style,
poise, grace, professionalism, and an excellent
overall presentation.
On stage question and answer (20% of your
score) - You’ll need the ability to think
fast on feet, articulation, composure overall
response.

Don't Delay
