Supervisor of RAP (Restoration and
Praise) and active in varies
ministries of Mt. Zion Missionary
Baptist Church. Treyla was awarded
one of forty people in the Sioux
City Community under forty for
making a difference in Sioux land in
2001. She is an Iowa Commissioner on
the Status of African Americans,
member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
Inc., NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet
Chair with her spouse, member of Jr.
League of Sioux City, IA, Director
of the Missouri River Historical
District Board and a business owner
of The Glass Slipper Bridal
Boutique.
Treyla has earned her Bachelors
degree from Wayne State College in
Wayne, NE in Child Development
Education K-12 and pursing her
Masters degree from Bellevue
University in Community Leadership.
She was employed at Tyson Foods Inc.
for several years after moving back
to Sioux City, IA working in
Marketing and Sales and currently
joined the Western Iowa Tech
Community College Team as Career
Academy Pathways Representative.
Treyla and her husband Larenzo have
been married for 8 months and
believe they can do all things
through God that strengthens them.
